Privacy Policy

The short, honest version. (Plain-language draft — the spirit is final, the wording gets a legal once-over before launch.)

What we keep for members: your email, a hashed password (never the plain one), your date of birth (used only to check you're 13+), your handle, and whatever you put on your profile.

What's public: your profile — display name, handle, avatar, banner, bio, town, your linked haunts, your music embed, and comments you leave on walls. Your email and date of birth are never shown to anyone.

Sessions: signing in sets one cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. Signing out kills it on our side too.

We don't sell your information. Not your email, not your birthday, not your browsing. Traffic stats on the site are counted in aggregate (page views), the same as before accounts existed.

Deleting your account: ask and it's gone — profile, comments, and session data go with it. Displays you claimed stay on the map (they're places, not personal data), unlinked from your name.
